SUEZ Milton Keynes Seamless Switch Full Video
We’re here today at SUEZ in Milton Keynes, where we’re speaking with Head of Fleet Dave Shaw about their seamless switch to Fleetclear.
My name is Dave Shaw. I’m the Head of Fleet for SUEZ R&R UK, and I’m responsible for looking after 1,700 vehicles across multiple sites throughout the UK.
We’re here today in Milton Keynes, where we operate the collections contract for Milton Keynes City Council, running 105 vehicles.
With our previous supplier, we found it difficult to access and compile the reports we needed. Since moving to Fleetclear, we’ve benefited from a more integrated system that makes it much easier to obtain the right information.
Fleetclear was the clear winner during the tender process, providing us with a fully integrated system that we found far more effective.
A good example was the mobilisation of the Milton Keynes contract. Once the vehicles had been delivered, Fleetclear attended in force over several weeks to fit the systems ahead of the go-live date.
More recently, we’ve also been exploring other technologies, including AI and new ways to improve safety.
We’re currently trialling a system called Live Lane, which helps prevent operatives from stepping into live traffic. We’re also using AI cameras to identify when operatives enter a danger zone and stop the operation when necessary.
I would recommend Fleetclear. Throughout the time we’ve worked with them, we’ve found the entire team easy to deal with, highly collaborative and willing to engage in new ways to improve safety, which is of paramount importance to SUEZ.
We want to continue working with Fleetclear and explore the different technologies available, including AI, Live Lane and camera systems, with a strong focus on improving safety and performance.
