WISHNI Puts Health And Safety On The Agenda

Waste and Transport Managers from local authorities and the private sector in Northern Ireland are meeting on Thursday 26 February for a morning of practical and informative demonstrations regarding everyday hazards in the waste sector. McCreath Taylor, a well-established municipal vehicle hire and maintenance company in Lisburn, is hosting the event, which has been organised by the Waste Industry Safety and Health forum WISHNI in conjunction with Health and Safety Executive Northern Ireland HSENI.
The programme runs from 9.30am to 2pm and is being delivered by relevant industry experts. Sessions include: delivering in-house training; Harness Safety by Quadra Consulting; Working Safely with Conveyors by Smiley Monroe; and Working Safely With Bin Lifting Gear presented by CP Davidson.

Coventry-based vehicle safety technology provider Innovative Safety Systems Ltd ISS will also be demonstrating its much talked about Cyclear cyclist warning display system, proven to be the most effective system for preventing accidents between HGVs and cyclists, and its market leading RX3 DVR Four-Camera system. Last year ISS announced McCreath Taylor as its sole distributor and installation agent in Northern Ireland.
Oliver Hoadley, Sales Manager, ISS said: We are delighted to participate in this event and to have the opportunity to demonstrate our Cyclear and our other products to delegates. It promises to be an interesting and informative day, and very useful for anyone involved in the operation of waste management vehicles and equipment.
