Vehicle Cameras Protect Public, Vehicles & Insurance Premiums In Aberdeen

Carmarthenshire County Council has invested in ISS products to prevent reversing accidents involving its fleet of refuse vehicles.
How cameras protect Aberdeen Council’s crews, vehicles and insurance
The council has purchased 34 Reaclear units, 30 camera systems and is in the process of rolling them out across its fleet of refuse vehicles. In addition, the council has acquired Cyclear, the ISS cyclist warning system, for a number of its vehicles.
In addition to working with local authorities, ISS has now developed a significant customer base in the commercial fleet sector.
Neil Gould, Service Manager for Carmarthenshire County Council commented: "We decided we needed to do more to prevent reversing accidents involving our refuse vehicles. These vehicles share our roads with cyclists, pedestrians and other motorists and we need to do all we can to keep everyone safe. Having evaluated the market, we believe that ISS has the best products and we look forward to working with them.
Neil added: "We are pleased to have invested in the Cyclear, which provides an audible and visual warning to cyclists approaching from the left side and rear of the vehicle. This will help prevent accidents involving cyclists, which is a growing concern for local authorities.
ISS designs, supplies and maintains a wide range of vehicle safety technology, much of which is manufactured here in the UK. ISS products include Cyclear™ (cyclist safety warning device), Reaclear (HGV reversing safety device), RXLite (live camera system), RX3 Hard Disk Recording camera systems, the LANLink remote footage download, reverse radar, Auto-stop radar and vehicle-tracking systems.
