Shadow Business Minister Praises Fleetclear

Ms Baldwin said: “It is always great to visit local business success stories, and I was grateful to have been introduced to a company which has been able to access private capital to trigger significant growth.

“It is helpful to hear feedback directly from a successful local company and understand their priorities for the short and medium term.”

The visit was coordinated by the British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (BVCA) and Ms Baldwin met the Fleetclear team to find out how the company drives innovation in fleet safety technology.

For over a decade Fleetclear, a private capital backed business, has demonstrated its dedication to helping fleets operate safely and remain compliant with evolving regulations. This has been achieved through continuous innovation to provide data-driven systems to future-proof fleets, whilst collaborating closely with customers and industry partners to tailor solutions to their specific needs.

YFM Equity Partners, a leading private equity firm specialising in scaling up and growing small businesses, invested five years ago and has accelerated Fleetclear’s growth by supporting the development of groundbreaking software projects. This has enabled the company to invest in new technology and R&D, including the adoption of AI, and recruit new team members, more than doubling staffing levels.
