London Crew Welcomes Safety Technology

ISS has recently successfully tendered for and won a contract to supply and install vehicle safety technology with Veolia Environmental Services in London. Veolia Environmental Services in London has a fleet of refuse collection vehicles and ISS has now fitted Hard Disk Recording systems, reversing radars, Cyclear cyclist warning systems and anti-roll away technology to 22 vehicles. The company beat off competition from 3 rival suppliers in its successful tender for the contract.

Steve McConnel, Head of Operations for the London Locality at Veolia Environmental Services said: I am pleased to report that the feedback from the crews has been positive overall. The RDR4 system is better as it takes into account vehicle speed, it provides a better vehicle profile. The crews seem to like the reversing radar as it is clear and produces limited false readings. It makes good common sense to have recording systems on the vehicles to ensure the crews are working safely and we can sort out insurance claims faster.
