Employee Spotlight: Meet Our CEO – Gavin Thoday

At 42 years young, I wear many hats, but my most cherished roles are those of a husband to Steph and a father to my two sons, Harry and Alex. Family has always been at the core of who I am, and this extends to the incredible family we've built here at Fleetclear.The story of Fleetclear/ISS began in 2009, born out of a pivotal moment when I faced redundancy from our main competitor. Instead of seeing this as an end, it marked the beginning of a remarkable journey filled with challenges, growth, and the unwavering support of our exceptional team.Outside of the boardroom, I thrive on the thrill of creating things. My latest venture has led me into the captivating world of distilling rum. The art and science behind crafting this exquisite spirit have been my passion and creative outlet.For many of you who know me well, my love for all things automotive is no secret. My fascination with cars started at a young age when my dad and I built a Westfield kit car together when I was just 14. This ignited my passion for automobiles, eventually leading me to study Transport and Product design at Coventry University, where I crossed paths with the incredible Steph, who was one of only two females on the course of some 200 males, poor choice on her part![caption id="attachment_10610" align="aligncenter" width="1000"]
