A year of innovation, integration, and collaboration

Last year, we made the decision to change our name from ISS to Fleetclear, signifying our evolution from a vehicle safety equipment company into a complete fleet solutions provider. We are thrilled to report that the transition has been incredibly successful, and we are very grateful for the support we have received. We couldn’t have achieved this without the dedication and commitment of our amazing team, the loyalty of our customers, the cooperation and consistent service of our suppliers and the backing of our colleagues in the industry.

Connecting Fleets

Fleetclear Connect software is at the heart of this integration. A unified ecosystem that consolidates data from drivers, safety features, and other vehicle sources, it provides vital business information to improve safety, streamline operations, and ensure fleet compliance. Thanks to our unique technology heritage in vehicle camera systems, we have been able to integrate tracking and telematics with a live video solution to provide our customers with unrivalled event reconstruction capabilities. This year we’ve seen a record number of local authorities switching to Fleetclear Connect as a crucial part of the modernisation of their operations and the replacement of outdated technologies, which require manual hard disk removals and downloads. The latest adoptees of Fleetclear Connect include Leeds City Council, Burnley Council, NW Leicestershire District Council, Kirklees Council, and Milton Keynes City Council.

Darren Fletcher, Fleet Manager, Transport Services, Kirklees Council: “We are able to monitor and track our entire fleet on one platform, providing uswith immediate access to crucial data about each vehicle and driver. This will help us make sure our fleet is operating safely, legally, and efficiently at all times and enable us to resolve any issues quickly and accurately."

Daniel Gillert, Regional Business Manager for Suez Recycling and Recovery UK: “The Fleetclear Connect system brings everything together in one place, connecting our vehicle safety technology with journey and driver data, to give us all the information we need and a clear picture of every aspect of our vehicles, drivers, and operations.”

Thank you to our collaborators and partners

Long standing relationships with our customers and development partners are key to our culture and we are delighted to have embarked on new collaborations this year with leaders in logistics, haulage, and construction. These partnerships have inspired development of a range of bespoke solutions tailored to meet the specific challenges of these sectors and we are looking forward to continuing working together in 2024.We developed the IDCard personal tracker in direct response to a request from a customer. The device, which can also be used to track non-powered assets such as street cleaning barrows, helps to protect lone or pedestrian workers by showing both the live location and historic routes of the operator.

Increasing safety, maximising efficiency, reducing downtime

We are proud to remain at the forefront of vehicle safety technology design, manufacture, and installation, and by listening to our customers we will keep delivering innovative technological safety solutions that complement their operations.A key internal development project this year focused on minimising disruption for fleet managers caused by vehicle downtime. Our new fully OEM compliant smart signal marshalling device and modular vehicle wiring design has achieved a reduction of up to 30% on installation times.  In some cases this means we can complete installations without having any impact on daily operations whatsoever. Our multi-camera CCTV systems enable real-time tracking and monitoring of fleets and drivers while improving fuel efficiency and promoting safe driving practices.

Steve Whitworth, Operations Manager, Operations & Logistics, Environmental Services, N Tyneside Council: “We can access information about the vehicles from any online device and the system provides real-time vehicle tracking, so we can see where any vehicle is at any given time and gather data about different rounds. The live video streaming is great, not just for the collection service but also for our Community Protection teams who often need to respond quickly to situations and provide immediate footage to the police.”And our anti-rollaway and theft prevention solution provides enhanced security for fleets and reinforces the public's safety.

Darren Moore, Waste & Business Development Manager, HBBC: “Waste management is a high-risk area and we wanted to mitigate any risk of vehicles being stolen or rolling away, to protect the public and our crews. Having looked at what was available in the marketplace and following our procurement processes we selected the system from Fleetclear.”
